Boom Shaka Laka Laka
It's here! Tom Everhart's exhibition "Boom Shaka Laka Laka: The Lagoon Paintings" opened October 20th in Las Vegas to huge crowds. The paintings are a joyful tribute to Everhart's favorite place, Tahiti, as well as a celebratory shout-out to Tom's mentor, the late Charles M. Schulz. Saturated with island color and the sheer joy of being, "The Lagoon Paintings" transport the viewer to another place, where rest and relaxation are the norm.
In Tom's own words, "The lagoon is where we spend all our time when we’re in Tahiti. We work over the lagoon, play over the lagoon, sleep over the lagoon. It’s a sort of parallel of a place in my mind. I’m working on what I’ve learned and keeping the teachings of Schulz alive...It’s a state of mind."
