Jeremiah Leif Johnson Jeremiah joined S2 Art Group as Communications Coordinator in 2008. Working with galleries, artists, and press, Jeremiah strives to bring S2's fine art and collections to a broader audience, and he has worked on exhibitions for Patrick McDonnell, M. Kungl, the Family Dog psychedelic artists of the 1960s, and other innovative S2 artists. He holds an MA from the University of Chicago and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin. During his graduate studies, Jeremiah focused on images in medieval and early modern manuscripts and how they were used by their readers, resulting in funded research at Yale's Beinecke Library. In his spare time, he wrote reviews for Chicago area art exhibitions. Prior to joining S2, he worked as managing editor for a small business magazine entitled America's Best. A native Texan, Jeremiah's first job was as a working cowboy in the Austin area, where he spent his free time writing poetry. After his work gained attention through publication, Jeremiah recited his poetry at cowboy gatherings across the United States and Canada from 1995-2001. Today, he enjoys photography, fine art, and road trips with his wife. |
