Barry Jacobson
Vice President

Mr. Jacobson enjoys outstanding credentials as both an artist, specializing in glass and as one of the nation’s top executives of the retailing industry. In January 2007, Mr. Jacobson joined the S2 Art Executive team. His responsibilities include gallery development, daily operations, artist relations, shows, and product development. His talents as an artist, include offerings that have been featured by American Express, Diner’s Club, Collector’s Guild, and many galleries around the country.
Working for MGM Mirage from 1995 – 2006, Mr. Jacobson was a key member of the executive team for store construction and diversity training, besides being responsible for training employees, hardware and software systems, store development, training and operational manual development, for 200 diverse retail stores in 10 major casinos in Las Vegas, NV.

Prior to joining MGM Mirage, Mr. Jacobson was VP of Operations – Caesar’s Palace. Las Vegas, NV. Responsible for systems, training, and operation of 30 retail stores in Nevada.

His outstanding retail background was the result of many years experience in retail organizations in NY, where he was the VP of Operations for several apparel and merchandise stores. Adding to his multi-store experience, Mr. Jacobson moved to Memphis, TN. where he was the Dir. of Operations, for Wexner - Joseph Shoes and apparel. Responsible for building stores, training staff, operations, equipment and systems for 40 stores specializing in better accessories, apparel, and shoes across America. He then became VP of Operations – Pacific Eyes & T’s, San Diego, California where he was responsible for systems and warehouse operations for 45 retail stores across the western US and Hawaii.

B.A., Washington University, St. Louis, Mo. Three years graduate school at Washington, Univ., St. Louis, Mo. and New York University in Doctoral program for Industrial Psychology and Statistics. 1971 – 1974.
Honors and Awards: Chairman – National Committee for the Development and Computerization of the Shoe and Apparel industry (NSRA) in New York. 1980 -1983. Recognition and awards for industry retail store seminars 1995 – 2005. Numerous commendations for Casino based retail development. 1998 – 2005.
